Antigel - RODOLPHE BURGER en duo avec CHRISTOPHE CALPINI

RODOLPHE BURGER en duo avec CHRISTOPHE CALPINI

The former Kat Onoma frontman unfolds his spoken words on the sound explorations of the Swiss mastermind with infinite melancholy pop tenderness.

For some 30 years now, French singer and guitarist Rodolphe Burger has been navigating far from the solar system or the mainstream media, at the crossroads of rock, blues, jazz and poetry. Along the way he came across drummer, composer and improviser Christophe Calpini and his soundscape-creating machines that combine electronic rhythms with organic sounds. In love with space, silence and chiaroscuro ambiences, imbued with melancholy and contained rumblings, the two artists enter into symbiosis and plunge into the abyss of haunting electronic pop, creating soundscapes filled with the heavy voice of the former Kat Onoma frontman and the deep, crackling bass of the former contributor to Stade, Mobile in Motion and Silent Majority. Heady guitars, piano notes like drifting wrecks, words whispered in a suave flow, the music of the two former collaborators of Alain Bashung breathes, sensual and frightening, and transports us to unknown territories.

Centre communal de Genthod, Genthod

Genthod’s community centre is one of those theatres that have the gift of seducing you from the very first visit, with its contemporary architecture of rigorous concrete, warm wood and large openings. Clear lines for a very simple, modular, spacious and welcoming hall in the heart of a beautifully preserved green area. An avenue of oaks and fields to the south complete the harmony of the place. A place where Antigel feels right at home.
